India's core consumer inflation seen at around 4.2 percent in May

India's core consumer price inflation, which excludes food and energy prices, eased to around 4.2 percent in May from around 4.4-4.5 percent in April. Data earlier showed India's annual consumer price inflation eased to a lower-than-expected 2.18 percent in May from 2.99 percent in April, driven down by cooling food prices.
